Fcharts Downloader URL Yahoo Address for asx?

Can anyone who uses the program ‘Fcharts’ tell me what the right URL address is for connecting to the yahoo/google servers to download the EOD data automatically?
I am looking/wanting to import the numbers daily….?
Secondly would any one know a site where i can download EOD — daily for the whole asx, in metastock *.txt or *.csv format. (not just a single stock)…?

    Hi,

    Most software will have the ability to automatically update the eod data automatically for any stocks you have within the system. Not all systems will support yahoo but all should support at least a .csv file import.

    The Australian stock market site for yahoo is http://au.finance.yahoo.com and they use the standard Australian asx code with .ax at the end so for bhp the yahoo code would be bhp.ax

    To get a list of all the current asx codes look at the following two links from the official Australian Stock Exchange web site.

    http://www.asx.com.au/resources/codes/index.htm
    http://www.asx.com.au/programs/ISIN.xls

    If your software makes it too hard or does not easily support the ability to import a list of stock codes to download new data then you could try searching google for the term ‘yahoo finance data download script’ or something similar.

    With a download script you should be able to download the stock information into a .csv file then import that into your stock program.

    i have not tried this software but it is free for eod data with yahoo and may work better for you http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/trading_platform_ninjatrader_free.htm
