house renting crisis?
By Planet Wealth
Please help me! The lady who owns the house that we share in has told me to leave, she’s given me four weeks notice to find a new place, but I’ve already found somewhere. She has just told me that I still have to pay rent for the next three weeks an equivalent of 0 (Aust $) even if I’ve went out. There was a tenancy agreement when I signed that if I chose to leave I would have to give four weeks notice or the equivalent in money, but she has questioned me to leave instead.
Is there a law against this? I have been made really uncomfortable living in this house and I just want to get out as soon as I can but I can’t afford to get out and pay rent for two houses (one that I’m not living in) every time I am here I end up in tears because of the situation.
Please help.

Your local landlord and tenacy office will best be able to manage your question on the legalities of this situation. But here in B.C. Canada we would not have to pay the rent for the premeis that we were questioned to leave plus get the hurt deposit back.
