Stock markets??????????????
By Planet Wealth
NASDAQ, Standard & Poors, DOWJONES – Are these stock markets where shares, bonds, CFD’s etc are traded.
Are they something like the ASX [Australia], NYSE [new york]?
What other stock markets exist throughout the world and where are they located?

NASDAQ is a trading market like the NYSE, the American Stock Exchange, and the markets in other countries. Those, you can research yourself.
Standard and Poor and Dow Jones are companies that track activity in the markets and report it. These two companies have made various indexes for tracking market activity. Dow Jones has a number of them, as does S&P, but the ones you hear about in the news are the Dow Jones Industrial Average, made up of thirty selected corporate giants, and the S&P 500, a much broader indicator of the market, tracking 500 large companies. The NASDAQ has its own index, and there are others, like the Wilshire 5000, tracking far more, and many smaller comapnies.
