Ubisurfer-worth trading?
By Planet Wealth
hello
I recently bought a ubisurfer running on linux for a bargain.
but looking into the netbook it self and using it for a few days, im not so keen on it. i dont know how to use linux very well and im not very sure about paying to change it to windows CE. i surfed ebay and found that i could probably get atleast 0 from the ubisurfer and that there are a few other netbooks that run on windows CE and have the same harddrive space, memory etc for just under 0. the other netbooks seem to be what im looking for, but the ubisurfer comes with 1 year free mobile internet(30 hours a month)
so im keen on a new netbook, but im not sure if thats really worth the trade?
any details or cheat netbook names would be fantastic!
thanks! ![]()

First thing to do is go to the Ubisurfer website and download and install the updates for it. I don’t own one, but from what I’ve read the updates effect a significant improvement in performance.
Apart from that, you’re pretty much stuck with what you’ve got, as because it’s not x86 architecture you can’t easily backup the existing OS and install alternative Linux OS’s.
Ubuntu/Debian have ARM ports but whether they suit the Ubisurfer’s particular ARM architecture and how you would go about installing it I don’t know. Android maybe?
